From an Idea to Development
People keep asking how I went from an idea to development so quickly with BessWave. Here is my answer.
Once I committed to building it, everything else started to gain traction. Three things made the speed possible.
First, the core building blocks were familiar: registering a company, Agile development, technical architecture, enterprise integrations, and SOC 2 compliance. I did not have to learn those from scratch. That let me focus on what was new.
Second, I was clear about what I could not do alone. I found experienced people to fill the gaps: advisors who have been through exits, who understand AI, and who know marketing and business development at scale. And I partnered with a development team that has built and deployed enterprise software. When I started my first company 25 years ago, I did not build that kind of team around me. I was not repeating that mistake.
Third, AI tools became force multipliers. Claude and ChatGPT helped me move faster on documentation, investor materials, technical specs, and problem-solving. I am building an AI company, and I am using AI to build it.
This pace worked because it matched my background and my focus. If you are early in your journey, give yourself time to learn what you do not know yet. That is normal.
And to be clear, it has not been a straight line. Pre-seed funding surprised me. Some investors got excited early and then cooled. Others started cold and committed fast. The path from conversation to commitment is rarely linear, and I can work with that.
